And you thought that I wasn't going to consider my boo's album a full serving of scrumptious melodic nourishment? Please!
Dig it- This is part one of the Black Summers' Night trilogy. This particular album, Black, delves into relationship/intimacy deferred (i.e. frigid shoulders, misplaced love, desolation, etc). Anyone who has ever been down these avenues and streets could definitely identify with the dude's scripted pain, frustration, and subtle perplexity accompanied with the soulful, jazzy, and bluesy instrumentation.
Tracks I'm Diggin:
1. Bad Habits
2. Cold
3. Fistful of Tears
4. Playing Possum:
Check it out... and purchase the album that comes with the DVD. 23 minutes of behind the lyric and beat commentary that gets you hooked onto this album bait even more (in my opinion).
